Deadline to Dawn

What does it take for a newspaper to travel from a writer to your very own hands? Over the course of a single night, The Daily Tar Heel churns out 10,000 copies of the weekly paper. This documentary follows the Tuesday night print cycle — from final print proof in the newsroom, to the printing press, to the streets where one man places each issue in every Blue Box before dawn. Special thanks to Triangle Web Printing Co., Scott Braswell, Santos Rojas, Ricardo Harris and Will Lingo.

Filming and editing by Diego Lerma, Andrew Sellers, Kayla Collins, May Proctor, Jordyn Balam and Amelie Fawson.

Produced by Amelie Fawson.
