Diego Lerma is a graduate student in video journalism at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The North Carolina native is an East Carolina University graduate with a degree in journalism and media studies.

He is currently an audio and visual reporter for The Daily Tar Heel, working on different video projects. His previous journalism experience includes working as an intern news producer at WITN. He also worked in print as a reporter, editor, and editor-in-chief of The East Carolinian.

Diego is currently focusing on long- and short-form documentary work.
